Verse 1: “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:’”The Church of Ephesus was a church of God planted by faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit that Paul had preached. The “seven golden lampstands” in this passage refer to the churches of God, the gatherings of those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and the “seven stars” refer to God’s servants there.
