Great storytelling
I admit I was skeptical at first if the topic would stick with me enough to add to my regular list of shows like Radiolab, Invisibilia, This American Life, On Being, and others. Jo does a great job of making these stories compelling and relevant to a range of listeners. Marriage and relationships in general shapes so much of our lives; this is a great listen to understand how complex and nuanced these commitments can be, and the impact they have far beyond just the two people at the direct center of them.

More reviews of Committed
This show curates stories about relationships that are interesting to hear about, to the point where it sometimes feels like listening to fiction. I think the episodes seem to be more about telling a story than a Q&A format, which is why it works.

This is not a cute little treatise on marriage, it's real stories from a wild variety of couples. I was pleasantly surprised by this program - really interesting people with very unique stories and perspectives.Read full review »

Love these couple stories that are told by Jo. They make you laugh, cry, and really think about the ins and outs of marriage. I very much look forward to Wednesdays when I can listen on my walk home from work!
