Some tips
Hey guys, Good job so far, been listening to a few of your podcasts and the content is great and well explained for the format. Just some tips for you that I think might help make it an easier listening experience. Don't feel obliged to talk in a “radio voice”, there is nothing more distancing for the listener. Think about the best lecturers you’ve had, the ones that stick out for me at least are the ones that are able to talk to a room of 300 as if they are addressing 10. This just makes it an easier to pay attention and sounds less dorky. 2nd point, along the same lines, when one of the presenters is explaining something make sure the other one keeps his mouth shut. It is immensely distracting to have one person explaining something while the other one says “yep, yep, of course, yep, yep, exactly, yeah thats right” every few seconds. Not only is it distracting but it doesn't add anything to the content. This is the type of thing that if you would like to give your buddy a pat on the back just do it non-verbally. Likewise don’t feel like you need to say “or that is my understanding” after explaining something. Chances are you are correct and if you aren’t somebody will pull you up and you can just make a note of it in the next podcast. Don’t worry about putting up a defence to being incorrect, it happens. Cheers guys, great job so far!

ED Trainee JMO here, using these podcasts to touch up on my basic basics. It’s amazing how much of med school I forgot since graduating, and it’s awesome that you guys can help clarify this stuff. Very very fun and worth it.
