“I thought this season was good- Columbine happened on my 6th birthday and so it has always been something that I have researched and been interested in learning more about. What I didn’t expect was the occasional moments where I would totally burst into tears. It really touched my heart and gave me a bigger perspective on the trauma. What a terrifying day and I can’t imagine what they went through. My heart broke as I listened to their first hand accounts. I really enjoyed it and was excited when they added new episodes. I do agree with what a lot of peoples opinion on Amy but at the same time, this event happened to her. A lot of it is her relating to the speakers. I don’t really think that putting a liberal spin on this series with anti-gun laws and politics was necessary and I’m so glad they didn’t go that route. I don’t think a podcast with such a sensitive topic should be turned into a political stage. The title is confronting columbine, which in my opinion means confronting what they went through and working through that.”
