My favourite podcast
This is my second 5 star review for this podcast, having now been listening to it for over 2 years I can’t imagine it not being a part of my weekly routine. I often listen while doing another activity that doesn’t involve that much brain power so I can actually concentrate on listening to it, such as playing Spyro without the sound on, working on a puzzle, pottering around the house or even when I’m trying to fall asleep- please take that as a compliment because anything that helps me sleep sometimes is appreciated, and I will go back and re-listen as many times and I need to to finish it. I really enjoy hearing what you made of the week’s events and what you predict might happen in the upcoming weeks. I love that it’s spoiler- free as I avoid those myself, and if you even do talk about them you give a fair warning so I can switch off. I love the banter and how you bounce off each other, and the sometimes quite in depth conversations about your thoughts on sometimes quite heavy topics, how sensitively you handle them when needed, but I also love the sarcasm and dark humour you use too. I sometimes laugh out loud at some of the things you both come out with. The random noises from your Alexa (or is it google? I don’t know the different between these things!) and getting the occasional update on, and the brief purring cameos from Abbie. I also really appreciated the welcome distraction this podcast provided me through the 3 months of lockdown #1 and how you dedicated one episode to acknowledge it so you didn’t have to mention it constantly throughout the other episodes in the lead up to the difference in pre to post COVID filming when the actors and crew went back to work, if that’s made any sense.. I also recently went back and listened to your original character profile of Aden, then found the episode covering the week of his suicide to listen to, and then the update of his profile. It was interesting listening to that week’s events again and to hear how your views had changed for the profiling. When you first started doing a separate episode for the middle section I wasn’t sure if I’d prefer it or not- then again I hate change- but I think it was the right decision. As well as why it technically works for you I enjoy being able to listen to those episodes in my own time, separately from the main podcast. Michael you have great interviewing skills! Thank you, Gemma and Michael for all the hard work you do, and providing a much needed sense of normality right now. Much love.

More reviews of Conversation Street
Hello Michael and Gemma! I discovered Conversation Street completely by accident, and what a discovery! I look forward to the podcast every week. Since in Canada we are a couple weeks behind, I will listen to the corresponding podcast, long after you’ve recorded. I don’t like spoilers. I have...Read full review »

A lifelong Corrie fan since the mid-1970s, had to switch off the first episode I downloaded after 5 minutes as it just kept on about Game of Thrones !!! Utter drivel and disappointing.

I've been hooked on Conversation St podcast since I discovered it when I started watching Corrie last year during the Kirsty/Tyrone abuse storyline. Gemma and Michael are funny and provide a great recap (with awesome snark) each ep. Great way to get Corrie fix on the go here in the States.Read full review »
