Royalist Criticism
Love this podcast I have been listening to it for years. However I really can’t relate to what was said on the most recent podcast where Prince Phillip passed and Gemma said something like people shouldn’t have anything bad to say unless they’ve been living and “working” for this country as long as he has. Don’t know if your sympathies are different in England but We Scots by and large reject the crown and the parasitic royal family that do literally nothing for people like us. At the end of the day an extremely racist, entirely privileged and elitist man died comfortably at the age of 99. I can have sympathy for an old woman losing her life partner, but it’s incomparable to what I feel at the devastating poverty surrounding me and most of my country. You come off as a bit tone deaf - and you don’t normally. You usually recognise your privilege and biases but in this episode just read as royalist and ignorant.

Since discovering this podcast my life has become more flavorful, colorful and less stressful. I lost 30 pounds! Gemma and Michael have voices of angelic proportions and make art of the subject of Corrie. Run to your nearest podcast shop and get this for your ears. You will thank me! PDM
