Invisive, curious and provocative
One of my favourite habits in listening to podcasts is finding the best hosts with whom I often disagree. Cowen is always open minded, curious, but very focused. He does not stray off on tangents like many a polymath podcast host. He is also fair to his guests and probes their ideas impartially. He does not try to impose his own ideological preferences on the conversation and you do not notice a significant difference in tone whether he is interviewing a likeminded individual. Guest and topics vary, and selection only occasionally betrays a bias. Excellent show.
