Conversations with Zalon ft @JaiAmore - We are no longer singers, we're just communicators!

Description
I have a theory that I have been thinking about for some time and I would like your opinion on it. I believe we are no longer singers. I believe we are COMMUNICATORS, our preference may be audio communication which is only one form of communication, but if we understand the power of all tools available then we have the possibility of adding more value to our audience and i’ll explain why.  So here goes... The landscape of the music business has changed so drastically over the past 20 years, and I believe many are still holding on to what was and not realising what the current state of the music business is right now. Previously we use to sell physical copies which was promoted on specific music led platforms, such as MTV, The box etc As we know, the demand and revenue made from physical products (cd’s, vinyls) has drastically decreased within the past 20 years, and we are now competing with EVERYTHING on our social media feed.  We are no longer competing against artists within our genre, we are competing with what someone ate, a birthday celebration, someone who passed away, something that has gone viral etc.  This means we are actually fighting for ATTENTION, not the best sounding music alone.  The landscape has changed!!!! Because of this, a picture, a gif, a song, an album, a tweet, a post are all the same as each other, in bringing value to your audience.  Although I may prefer the audio communication (song/album) but in reality, to the audience,  as they scroll through their social media feed, whatever grabs their attention, whether it be  a picture, a gif, a song, an album, a tweet, a post, each one has the possibility of going viral. Should something go viral, it can raise the awareness to build your career or make you relevant. In my new podcast ‘Conversations with Zalon feat @JaiAmore I gave this example... Imagine if you sent out a tweet and Barack Obama responded and all the blogs and newspapers covered it, there’s a strong possibility that it can bring the awareness you need for your music. Does that still mean your song is more powerful than a tweet? And should your song be the only use of communication you use? For me, it’s all communication, and I am a communicator expressing my thoughts, feelings, pain, views, perspectives. My preference is the audio communication in the forms of songs, however I've realised there's so much more to me, and to my expression. Which was the motivation for my new podcast.  Thank you @JaiAmore for sharing thoughts about spirituality, music, legacy and so much more. Check out Conversations with Zalon featuring @JaiAmore now.
