“I am only a few years older than you so, in a good way, your pop culture references and memories of the USA that was are comforting to me.
I love your passion. I love your brutal honesty. I love your intelligent analysis of so many things you write about. In short, you are my release.
I am drawn to your program because when you scream you have an audience. By listening to your podcasts I feel that, in some small way, someone is hearing me scream as well.
The vulgarity and filth of a large swath of voters in this country who, for reasons of hate, bigotry, ignorance, selfishness, whatever, choose to swim in ignorance and lies rather than bathe in the sometimes harsh, sometimes refreshing, hot water and soap of truth sickens me. They pollute our society, our culture, our world, yet, so many are friends I grew up with or relatives that are dear to me and I can’t hate them. Maybe because to hate them would be to hate part of me.
Oh well, I am literally Sonny’s boy, and Sonny and my mom taught me to embrace family and friends so that is what I do, that and scream into my pillow or alone in my car. So, I get back to my heading, what can I do besides scream?
Thank-you for your passion, your intelligence, your courage, and, until we figure out something else, your screams.
