KO’s Back With Countdown
Overall I liked it. The pod captures the same energy and spirit as the teevee show. I like the music a lot. It was melodic, apropos to the various subjects it underlined. Cool. Also: Thurber Fridays! Keith also profiles a pet you can help. I LOVE that. But I have some questions about a couple things Keith talked about. 1. The Frank Luntz story: would the KO connection to Luntz be better placed later and not at the same time as the WPITW #2? I think the personal connections/anecdotes should be grouped together. Maybe refer to the upcoming connection and address it later? It just seemed a bit jumbled. 2. I am sure the TV business can be cutthroat. The story at the end about how Countdown ended was confusing. I listened to it twice. Why is it offensive that Rachel Maddow denied on Maher’s show that she had heard of the contract stuff about KO and Countdown? I wonder if maybe she was just trying to stay out of it on national television to avoid saying anything that might damage her friend or the deal? KO and RM apparently haven’t spoken since. Why? Good show. I have subscribed.

I’m glad to hear his voice again, still in great form.

I’ve never written a review or rated a podcast, but it’s great to hear Keith again. He has always been a great broadcaster. Loved his reminisces this morning about the death of Thurman Munson. This has become my favorite podcast - especially since I can listen to it and skip the insipid Morning Joe.
