“I’ve listened to a few true crime podcasts, not terribly many, but am a fan of compelling ones—the original being the first season of Serial—and this is definitely not one of them (season 5 counterclock). The real mystery is how even 10 episodes, much less 14, were made out of the story, about corrupt Louisiana business people who seem very nice for about 2 episodes and then clearly had every motive to kill the guy murdered in the first episode. I guess if you like a lot of speculative details about a bad investigation by the corrupt police in the first place that drags on and on so you don’t even care by the end, then you might like this. Became very irritated by the monotonous voice of Delia. Maybe there’s some big twist at the end but I just can’t keep listening. Two stars rather than one just because I somehow listened to more than a few episodes.”
