“After listening to the recent episode of Cowgirl Problems, I’m confused. Courtenay often talks about how she’s a fancy lady cowgirl and the industry should still accept and respect her as an advocate even though she doesn’t always look/dress like your typical farmer/rancher. I respect and relate to this message on a deep level. That is why I’m very confused about her rant in the 12/16/19 episode about girls who wear dresses and heels to the NFR or any rodeo. So it’s not on that they’re dressing like a “fancy lady” at a rodeo? It cheapens what it means to be a cowgirl if another woman wear heals to a rodeo but you still want to be respected and accepted when you feel like wearing heals or other “fancy lady” attire? I’m not giving up on Courtenay because I generally find her entertaining, but this specific message and conversation is frustrating to me.”
