“I listen to true crime/mystery pods to fall asleep at night, but pickin’s are slim. It requires a weird pairing of very particular qualities that can be hard to pull off. This pod is a perfect addition to my short list of go-tos. Sylas and Stew are calm but not boring, curious but not gawking, insightful but not insufferable. The stories are a great mix of notorious and lesser-known cases, and I appreciate the lighter palate-cleansing episodes tucked in between the ghastlier fare. Thanks, lovely people, for easing me into sleep every night with the most lurid, awful stories, told with a light touch and plenty of compassion. I drift off easily at night and for the morning dog walk, I rewind to the beginning to can catch up on what I missed the night before, because the stories are important and need to be told. I almost wish I hadn’t found you so early, because there’s not a huge backlog to binge yet. Guess I’ll be re-listening til new epis drop! ❤️”
