Ever wandered what the creative process is behind the films, tv shows and theatre productions you watch? Well, Crew Chats is a podcast going behind the scenes and chatting to the crew that help make these productions. Lindy Hemming, from a very young age had a very keen interest in People and was fascinated by their appearance. She had ample opportunity to further pursue this study, when she began her training as an Orthopaedic Nurse and Physiotherapist, at an Orthopaedic Hospital in Shropshire. Whilst working at the hospital Lindy joined together with a group of friends and started a Folk Club, where They also put on entertainments for the patients in the hospital. Later, a friend recommended that Lindy Apply to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, (RADA) to study stage management, which she did, and this resulted in a place there. Whilst at RADA, Lindy leaned more towards the discipline of Costume Design and eventually upon completing her training, went to work at the Open Space Theatre in Tottenham Court Rd as a costume designer for Director Charles Marowitz. This lead to, 15 years of working in Theatre, at theatres such as Hampstead Theatre, The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and London’s West End. Then to designing for Films from 1983 to the present day. Lindy’s work spans from Mike Leigh’s, 'Abigails Party', the 1999 film 'Topsy Turvy', for which she won an Academy Award, 'Four Weddings and a Funeral', 'My Beautiful Launderette', Five 'James Bond' films, 'Wonder Woman' and the upcoming 'Wonder Woman 1984' and 'Paddington' 1 and 2 to name a few.
