Ever wandered what the creative process is behind the films, tv shows and theatre productions you watch? Well, Crew Chats is a podcast going behind the scenes and chatting to the crew that help make these productions. Dan Grace comes from a costume family with his mum being Costume Designer Lindy Hemming and so growing up he was surrounded by the world of theatre and later film. At the age of 15, Dan got a summer job as a floor runner which cemented the interest in being involved in the film world as a career. The following year, Dan got a job at the costume house Angels, where he was exposed to the different people involved in the costume world, and also had the opportunity to work on films as a daily. Dan worked there for a couple of years before leaving in order to pursue further education, going briefly to Camberwell School of Art, but decided to leave to go back to work. Dan then went onto work as a costumier and costume standby, which he did for 8 years before supervising his first film, ‘All or Nothing’ for costume designer Jacqueline Durran and has continued working as a costume supervisor in the industry. More recently, supervising on a number of Marvel and DC superhero films. Dan has worked on productions such as, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Ready Player One’ and the upcoming films, ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and Black Widow’ to name a few.
