“I’ve been listening to your podcast for about 2 years now and just love it! Usually I hate pre-episode banter on podcasts because it sometimes it’s just stiff / forced or scriptey feeling and not real… however I love listening to you guys! It feels genuine + relatable.
Allison, thank you for the time + effort you put into each episode, it is clearly heard and you do an amazing job! On a recent episode you got choked up a bit and commented how it wasn’t professional, but I’m here to say that’s what makes your podcast different and REAL. You’re a human, and you getting choked up shows you have empathy and genuinely care about the victims story you are telling. If anyone comments that it isn’t professional, are they human???
Mike, I love the comedic relief you bring to the table. Dad jokes, slightly inappropriate jokes, just overall.. it gives me a good laugh and helps ease the heaviness of the story. I also LOVE how supportive you are of Allison and when she makes comments about herself when it comes to telling the stories or getting emotional, or whatever, you’re always there to be like “no babe, you’re awesome.” And I love that.
