“Long time CJ fan here. Ashley and Britt are amazing and do the best job of telling people’s stories every week but this week blew me away. I of course know the details of the case to some degree, who doesn’t. And in my mind without spending too much time reading or listening to the details I have always believed that Amanda Knox was not guilty of any part in this crime. But to listen to her, articulately and empathetically talk to Ashley about what she experienced, seriously rocked me. It made me so angry. For her, for women in general to be so easily sexualized by the press. It made me feel slightly ashamed to be British for a moment, home to the world’s most disgusting media organizations. It made me feel fearful that somehow in a western country this INSANE series of events was able to play out without anyone stopping it to question fact and logic. This could happen, to any of us! But mostly in the end I felt respect for her and for how she has dealt with this, it was a heart and eye opening interview and a thought entered my mind as it came to a close. I think that Meridith will rest easy now knowing that even if she can’t, that her friend is able to rebuild her life. Thank you Ashley and Britt! This was an awesome episode.”
