“It’s said that “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.” When I came to a point in my faith where I began sharing it with others (most especially my children), I found myself coming up short in the face of very simple and sincere questions.
As I began researching how to answer those questions I soon came across Dr. Turek’s books and this podcast. Let’s just say it didn’t take long to recognize that a relatable teacher, excellent communicator, and eminently knowledgeable guide had just appeared before me.
Through this weekly podcast Dr. Turek guides his listeners through the abundant wealth of philosophical, moral, scientific, and forensic evidence that supports the claims of Christianity, along with easily understood methods and tools for communicating this evidence to atheists, skeptics, and questioning believers in respectful and effective ways.
In addition, the weekly podcast features frequent interviews with (and discussions about) Dr. Turek’s contemporaries and influences in the “New Apologetics” movement, such as William Lane Craig, Norman Geisler, J. Warner Wallace, High Ross, Stephen Meyer, Paul Copan, Gregory Koukl, and many other luminaries who bring their own perspectives, methods and knowledge to the table.
Having listed to the podcast and reading books from Dr. Turek and other books discussed on the show, I am now very confident in defending my Christian faith from a reasoned, evidentiary perspective. This new “superpower” has not only strengthened my own faith, but has inspired me to use my own gifts to use apologetics to further the kingdom.
