“The antithesis of Any Questions/Question Time type political panel shows.
As a frequent listener to Iain Dale on the radio and the ‘For the many’ podcast, I found the first episode deeply impressive because Iain was asking the obvious counter questions to guests even when I suspect he actually agrees with them, this shouldn’t be unusual in professional broadcasters but in my experience it is rare.
The panel behaved in a civil manner to each other and listening didn’t require altering the volume because someone was getting ranty. The tone set by Iain and his team made this possible IMO. I can’t stand one of the guests on this first show, but Iain gave them a chance to expose the weakness of their arguments and let the listener make their own mind up.
An excellent start.”
