The 2024 CrossFit Open kicked off with a special Golden Barbell Throwdown between Fittest Man on Earth Jeff Adler, and CrossFit Games athletes Brent Fikowski, Alex Gazan, and Alexis Raptis. The foursome took on three workouts — Nasty Girls, Open Workout 11.3, and Open Workout 24.1 — for the chance to win the Rogue Golden Barbell. With the exception of Fikowski, this was the athletes’ first live Open announcement and the first throwdown in Open history.
