Cult Criticism from Cultists
“Isn’t interesting that Mike Rinder thinks hurting people is wrong. From what authority does he derive that morality?” Ok. That’s paraphrased, not quoted, but it is forever perplexing to me that Christians feel like god is necessary to not kill their neighbor. Because of their own belief in their superiority, the hosts will not only criticize the cults they discuss, but multiple denominations and other religions as well. They belong to a religion with a god that has chosen people as superior to all others, yet they criticize other religions that worship a god who says their group is superior. The entire time, they fail to see just how similar their own belief system actually is, and they dismiss the violence that has been and is still done in the name of their god. This podcast is good for one thing—revealing just how lacking in self-realization true believers are.
