An unexpectedly intimate look at jewelry!
I loved hearing the personal stories of the guests on the Nov. 29th episode devoted to jewelry. I was raised with a lot of antiques, working as a child shining brass in my uncle’s antiques shop at the Jersey Shore, Art History major, studied at the Louvre, Winterthur, Sotheby’s, country auction cataloguer-I’ve seen, felt, smelled so much in my 50 years-but jewelry remains a mystery to me. I appreciated hearing the reverence about certain objects, and their place in the history of the wearer’s life. I will be looking at pieces in my life with new eyes, and with a greater understanding. Thank you for this lovely topic!
