“Is it a TRRPG? Is it a radio drama? Is it far too overproduced to feel any sense of enjoyment from the cast?
Yes! And no! It’s all these things and it doesn’t work as a result.
Honestly, I just couldn’t find anything to take me past the first episode. It has a tangible passion to produce something *really good* which is admirable … but that results in such a cacophony of conflicting narration, forced (and, God, REALLY BAD) character accents, SFX, ambient noise and music.
This is an actual-play podcast, isn’t it?
TTRPGs have in-jokes and banter and rolled dice and enjoyment!
This is a radio drama that probably had some great mates having fun playing D&D behind it but all we get is the over edited mess.”
