“I enjoy Critical Role, but was looking for a replacement show while CR was on hiatus. I stumbled up Dark Dice and I have to say, it’s much more than a CR replacement. The Role Play is emphasized by dropping the die rolls and rules minutia to the wayside (it’s still done but only to tell you why certain RP is happening), this makes the whole show play out more as a well done audio drama rather than an actual-play. There’s plenty for D&d newcomers, veterans, or even non-d&d players who enjoy Fantasy Horror, all will find something to enjoy. As a long time DM myself, I particularly enjoy when the games DM comments on the game out of nowhere. Always gives me a good laugh. Please, keep making this show, it’s incredibly well done.”
