Needs new cohost
While Mick’s opinions often differ from mine, he articulates them with a precision that is rare in mainstream film criticism. He also ties his ideas about individual films to the broader culture in ways that are enlightening and entertaining, and I’ve learned a lot over the years reading his columns. With that said, Lena Hertz detracts from the podcast by interrupting the flow of the conversation by interrupting with irrelevant comments, annoying attempts at humor, or dull observations like “she’s a nice actress.” With a new cohost, this show would improve dramatically.
