Superb
In her Dead Honest podcasts Georgie Vestey explores an area of human experience which, although inevitable to us all, is rarely discussed because of the high level of sensitivity and fear surrounding the subject. We all know too well that any of us may find ourselves transported to that undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveller returns, at any time, in any place, subject as we are to the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to, but how much time do we spend really thinking it through - beyond preparing a will? In an age preoccupied with youth, health and beauty, ageing, sickness and death is feared. So how will we cope when death comes, as it inevitably will, either to ourselves or to those we love? Death is the common destiny of all who live. Common perhaps, but not shared. And yet. And yet. Perhaps if we listen to the experience of death in the lives of others, we may think about our own differently and be reminded of how short life can be and therefore how precious. In these Dead Honest podcasts Georgie Vestey takes us by the hand and gently takes us on a journey to meet those with stories to tell about death and dying, but which enhances our understanding about life and living.

This is such a beautiful podcast. It’s so well-produced, and so intimate. The people that Georgie interviews really are unsung heroes, and I’m really grateful that they shared their stories with us.
