Facing life’s certainties
Georgie Vestey looks at one of life’s only certainties - death. A macabre topic? Not so much. In each episode Georgie talks to a different person who deals with death as part of their day job. This is a fascinating insight tackled with huge sensitivity and respect. The interviews show us the silent infrastructure of care and holistic support for the dying and bereaved by so many people from all backgrounds in all manner of differing situations, the people who face mortality on a daily basis and use their skills and expertise to help those dealing with death. I would recommend this podcast to everyone, to give us a greater understanding of life’s only guarantee.

Another episode that I really enjoyed. I had no idea that family liaison officers did this on a voluntary basis. Beautifully recounted.
