“You want to like this podcast, you really do, because when they’re actually talking about the movie, the two of them are fantastic. The issue is they seem to be extremely orthodox politically (people on the extremes usually don’t realize they are extreme) and they evangelize their messaging with an almost religious zeal. Really at some point it is religious (just without the advantage of any virtue) and it is unrelenting.
If you’re more moderate this can become really monotonous. I want to underscore, it’s not that they are liberal (so am I to some extent), it’s that they are zealous and you receive a lecture from the pulpit every 5 minutes. Enough, please, we get the message.”
