“This is the first podcast I will recommend to anyone, maybe even before This American Life. It is almost universally appealing, which sounds like it would be overly broad, nonspecific or boring but it’s not. It’s the most reliably laugh-out-loud feel good funny podcast without punching down or over-relying on gimmicks or references only a handful of listeners will understand. It’s also heartwarming and even very insightful at times. This is by far my favorite creative endeavor of both Hank and John Green, as individuals or together. Unsurprisingly the brothers have a delightful rapport and chemistry that is unmatched in podcasting; together they perfectly balance out/check each other’s personalities and egos ;)
Dear Hank & John is I think the most consistently outstanding podcast I have heard (mayyybe tied with Heavyweight or Ear Hustle) where there are just no episodes that really dip in quality.”
