“I have a question and I really want yall to answer
Dear Hank and John, I came out as trans to my parents about a year ago and they still won’t use my preferred name and pronouns. They say that they are giving me “room to explore my true self while validating experiences but not doing anything about them”. I have sometimes crippling dysphoria when the only thing I can do is put on a hoodie and cry and I don’t think they understand how hard it is to be trans even with your parents support. Now to the question lol. What would you do, as dads, if one of your kids came out to you as trans (or really anything that isn’t cis/het)? climber/musician/baker/nerd
