I really enjoy 70% of these podcasts. Most topics are well researched, have great interview excerpts, and lead the listen on a series of twists and turns. The pod is well produced. The podcasts I don’t enjoy I find either too heavy, disorganized, or Willa’s personal views and assertions seek to overshadow the listener’s experience in forming their own conclusions (e.g. I cringed at the multiple attempts Willa made to coerce the joke author into “admitting” on record that she thought her work was harmful). I liked older topics better than newer ones. Many of the show titles I found misleading and actually enjoyed the topic far more than title suggested I would. Also- heed the trigger warnings at the beginning of the episode. Seriously. Topics aren’t handled delicately.
