Different and Enjoyable
I was surprised it is different from many random-ish knowledge podcasts. This creates the human entries to trends, language, and how we interact with the things around us. It follows changing media, technology’s influence, and how we might feel about it afterward. I listened on a lark—expecting to unfollow right after. Admittedly, it took me several months to start listening. I’m now working my way through from the beginning. Interesting and worth the listen.

I really loved the first episode, and I'm so happy that Slate is investing in podcasting women. There are not enough female voices out there, and Willa is engaging and smart. Brava!Read full review »

To be honest, the titles of the podcasts kept me from listening for a while. They sounded boring, but don’t be fooled! Excellent angles on ordinary things around us! From kid’s toys to conspiracy theories, everything has a fascinating angle. Very well done, and, please, keep at it!

Lovin’ this new podcast. It tells me about things I didn’t even know would be interesting. Highly recommended diversion.
