“Perhaps, you know, this emperor has no clothes on”
I’ve not listened to the old ‘Decrypted’ episodes yet so am basing this review on the first four episodes of ‘Foundering’, about WeWork, and they’ve been superb - proper depth in terms of of story/research, good narration and quality production make for a flawless, captivating podcast so far; one that has me excited any time a new episode pops up in my feed. Moreover, this is another story that must be told and must be learned from. It reminds me of the rise-and-fall story of Theranos, in that both had people who pretty early on tried to alert the world at large that all was not well and that, possibly, the emperor had no clothes on... people who personally had a lot to lose by speaking up... and lost — dismissed as detractors of the cult. There’s a lot to be said about this and a lot to be learned from.
