horrible segment on George Floyd’s death
okay look, i understand a lot of people on the right were against the BLM riots, as were i. but i think it’s completely disrespectful and awful to pretend like he wasn’t killed by that officer. whether or not he was on drugs doesn’t negate the fact that the cop refused to take his knee off of his neck after hearing him beg for his life. how can we as religious individuals see a video like that and not completely sympathize with him? no matter what sort of life he lead before that point, his death was unjustified. hearing religious people speak this way about a man who was killed is so disheartening and reflects so much about the state of our society.
