Can a resilience approach transform how we work in communities?
Listen now
Description
The term resilience is everywhere. But what does it really mean? It’s a word that is neither positive or negative. It can describe how easily a community might bounce back after a disaster. It can also describe the resurgence of a terrorist group! But what is it exactly, and why would taking “a resilience approach” be important to The Salvation Army? Capt Ben Cotterill reflects on his experience in the UK as a Corps Officer and relates this to his work in International Development, highlighting some of the steps we can take to embed a resilience approach in the way we work as an organisation across the world.   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
