“You cannot say ‘A blah blah blah of marmite proportions…’ it is grammatically incorrect and hugely annoying. I have to listen to it about twice in each episode of a podcast I actually want to listen to. You could say, ‘This blah blah blah is like marmite, you either love it, or hate it.’ Or you could say ‘…it has the characteristics of marmite…’ but MARMITE PROPORTIONS?!?!? Proportion is about size no? You could say mouse proportions or whale proportions but marmite proportions? Is your podcast like a small squat glass jar or what? Ffs.”
