Nothing new here…. in fact it’s terrible.
The idea of two people “chatting” about true crime is in no way whatsoever, an original idea, if anything this genre is over flooded with millions of podcasts doing the exact same thing and this concept is so memeable at this point I wondered why these so called co hosts would bother? Neither seem particularly knowledgeable about true crime; the fact that the show is edited with paid clips from criminologists that have appeared on other shows is telling enough. They obviously have the money to make the show, but neither host has the talent or the hard work to do anything for themselves. We all loving chatting to our best mate - these two should probably look to keeping it to themselves like the rest of us do in the future. One of the hosts even says at one point that personality disorders aren’t a mental illness and that people who suffer from them are in control of their actions, but they commit crimes because they are “evil”. It’s probably one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard anyone say. I’d only recommend this podcast if you’ve never heard of any of the subject matters before but because they’re covering probably the most well known of serial killers I would say, everyone avoid this podcast like you’ve seen a Devil in the Dark.

They seem largely uninformed about true crime and psychology which means they rely on humour and rapport to keep the show going. At the end of the day,...Read full review »
