DGAF Community is GOAT
This is Mike Trout on Mrs. Trout’s account because I’m a Boomer. I started listening for the poker. I watched poker vlogs & craved more content, so it was only natural that I found DGAF. That path was probably taken by many listeners who stumbled across Sessions, at least at first. Eventually I realized DGAF was the same creator who wrote “The Abyss” post on 2+2 that I had saved, shared and read countless times to remind myself how much of a beast variance really is. In his Sessions podcast just like in the “The Abyss” post, DGAF gives it to the listener straight. I thoroughly enjoy the authenticity of the story of DGAF’s life and his inevitable third rise in poker. There is no doubt I would have continued to listen and support the podcast on its own. But DGAF has built so much more than just a podcast following! IT WAS A GAME CHANGER when I was introduced to the DGAF Community & started to meet and interact with other supporters. Between the online forum, Slack channel & DGAF home games, I have made dozens of new friends from all over the country & the world. All of them share a similar passion for community and helping others…and most of them love to degen like me too! More importantly, members of the community go to great lengths to help other community members, set great examples of role models in the poker world and provide some fun and relief through these stressful times. Simply put, DGAF Community is the GOAT. Like if you took the best parts from Lebron and MJ and smashed them all together. Quick story about how great the community is…We had a Zoom Binker going on last night & DGAF decided to turn it into a way to start a college fund for the little girl we are expecting any day now. Seeing countless strangers contribute and offer kind words of encouargemnt blew my mind. Honestly, it was uncomfortable at first. But if you are part of a community, you let people do nice things for you and you do nice things for them. That’s just the way it works! Since DGAF usually reads these on the pod, I wanted to take a second to tell everyone how much they have meant to me over the past few months. The kindness & generosity of this group is unmatched and is truly inspirational. - THANK YOU to DGAF for having the vision to create this entire “world” for us. Without you, none of this exists and none of us know each other. Crazy to think about! - THANK YOU to EDonk, Mike Jojo, Fist & Kip, Jim R, Irieguy, AP, Moose, Yelsni, Vic Fuentes + Suzy, Hun 2 Virgils, SAVAGES, Czech Raise Charles, Who Dis, Neuro Nerd, Amazing Brian Space, Tallamore, Generic, Rick pewpl, Death Eatr, SMELLS, Jimmy Donuts, Evilfishy, Rackinup, Alex Banana, Chili dog my hero, Bill Perkins, Catspearos and Abbie, Walt passed out on the Zoom, Silent SoundGuy Crusher, Nik, Matt B, Loppie, Dtown Degen, Zogs, TELOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, Ryan Arnold, Scott Wygal, Dez frickin Bryant, Sean Snyder, Garen, Drax, JMC, Kickball Robert, Verloc. - I’m sure I left some great people out, sorry about that.
