Hope it finds its feet and improves
The difficulty with satirising something as painfully banal as a sports radio phone-in is that the results are often themselves just as painfully banal. Luckily the performances of Adefope and Craig do as good a job as they can of rising above Smith and Jones’ stilted script, but it remains to be seen if they can sustain this heavy lifting for the duration of the series. As you’d expect from accomplished comedy sketch writers, there are funny moments, but so far it doesn’t hang together as a ‘scripted’ comedy/ sitcom.
