#9: Julia Karlson-Waid on navigating misogyny in the 70s, her string of "survival jobs", and ballet
Listen now
Description
Julia has been with Deutsch for 16 years and is our Director of Client Accounting. We spoke with Julia about navigating various forms of misogyny on a college campus during the early ‘70’s, her classical training in acting, and her subsequent string of New York City “survival jobs”. We also heard about how she was able to take up ballet late in life without having to compete with unbearably cute 5 year olds, and the benefits of taking Argentine tango lessons both with and without her husband.
