For Digify Africa, it is important to give people easy access to information about social media and digitization. In South Africa, WhatsApp is one of the most used messenger apps – on average, 93.2% of South Africans use the green messenger. Therefore, it was obvious to use this communication channel for the educational program. To enable this in an automated, 24/7 and scalable way, our team created the WhatsApp chatbots Naledi, Kitso and Lesedi.

The EcoDoc app, which was recently launched at the @University of Cape Town's School of Economics, aims to translate over 1 000 economic terms into South Africa's 11 official languages. The goal is to help economics students understand terms and definitions in their home languages.
