You’re listening to a machine stealing from humans
This is a voice created by AI, not a human speaking. The information is said to come from “Perplexity’s powerful search,” so another AI machine. But that doesn’t mean humans aren’t involved; this podcast is made by tech companies using machines to steal the news, which is gathered, vetted, and reported by journalists, off the websites and podcasts and forums that they get paid to contribute to. This podcast doesn’t appear to pay any of its own journalists to gather the information. It doesn’t attribute the information it gets to any news source. There is zero transparency, and no way to know if anything that’s being said here is true. And if it’s not— hey! it’s just a machine. So also zero accountability. What are the qualifications of the people who are, presumably, curating what the search engine spits into the AI voice? Who is vetting the sourcing? Why is that information not made available in the description? Who is accountable for these machines? What information do I have to make sure that what I am hearing is true? These are the questions I asked myself upon first hearing this podcast. I hope you ask yourself the same questions of anywhere you get your vital news that helps you understand the world.

Outside of the technological marvels used in the creation of these episodes, the topics are perfectly chosen and summarized. Keep creating new ones!!

The AI content summaries are helpful but the ElevenLabs AI voice is beyond distracting. Just hire a reader. Until then, I’ll listen elsewhere.

I realize it’s an AI generated voice, but the accent is so strange
