Listen now
Description
What is generational trauma, and how does it influence our lives? Why don't older generations acknowledge this type of trauma, and what is my personal experience with it? Discover why this episode is exceptionally personal and vulnerable as I share my own journey. I will also touch on how the tragic chapter of Kalmyk history: the Siberian Exile of 1943, during which Kalmyk people were deported to Siberia and spent 13 years stigmatised as 'enemies of the nation' might have influenced us. Also, we will explore how this experience has impacted future generations and examine how generational trauma affects us on unconscious levels with the help of an expert. Comments for this episode were provided by psychologist and gestalt therapist, Inna Dolenko-Kulemina. Join me in this special episode, the first in a series on mental health of the Diversity Podcast.
