This story would be better if it was less biased
From the way episode two ends, it seems pretty clear CPS dropped the ball in handling parts of this case. That being said, a child abuse pediatrician with years of specialized training finding that skull fractures and brain bleeds in a 5 month old baby are not consistent with the parents story is extremely concerning. The family seems lovely, but that isn’t enough for me to write of the opinion of a medical child abuse specialist, which is what it feels like this podcast is asking us to do.

Incredibly well done. Listened to the first 2 episodes and am hooked. God knows I would never want the burden of being a CPS worker (seriously...God bless you guys) but this is a chilling example of what can happen when the state oversteps.
