Surprisingly addictive
Decided to check this out as at first I thought this was going to be an “in depth” podcast, album by album, in a geek fest fanboy kind of way. Turns out that’s bang wrong — it’s got more much more a blokes down the pub vibe, where one manics fan tries to convince/convert two others as to why they’re (one of) the world’s greatest band(s). Despite some initial big reservations (blokes down the pub vibe and manics don’t exactly gel on the page), it’s actually surprisingly addictive stuff. Although I was put off at first I found myself coming back to it more and more. The manics are not exactly easy listening but to their credit this podcast makes for an easy listen.
