“I strongly disagree with the negative comments about host DV.
As a displaced Dodger fan (in Philly), I rely on Dodger Talk to feel connected to my favorite team. DV’s passion for the Dodgers, and for baseball in general, and his rapport with the players, makes every episode interesting, informative, and entertaining. I’ve listened to many broadcasters in similar roles for other teams, and DV is second to none.
I would agree that the show has had its ups and downs depending on DV’s cohost. I found it most educational when Kevin Kennedy was cohosting, and I did not care for the Tony Gwynn Jr. experiment, but last year with Nomar and Ned was excellent (I’m not so much a fan of Jerry), and I’m glad Ned is back for 2018. The key is to compliment DV with someone who has deep insider baseball experience.
