“I live outside a big city, and I never really felt in touch with “country” culture. I had my preconceptions about it, but this documentary changed a lot of them. It showed me how universal many stereotypes of country folk are, and how many of them are manufactured by others.
And plus, dolly seems like a nice person and I’ve discovered that I like her music. I think the creators of this podcast glorify her centrism a bit too much, since centrism is objectively a very common stance, and imo an idiosyncratic one.”
