“I was sent here by a friend who knew I loved Disney podcasts, and based on the Disney Parks episode of Don’t Get Me Started, I decided to explore further. First I listened to the episodes covering stuff I’m interested in - music collecting, Billy Joel, Kanye West, typefaces. Now I’m exploring topics I *want* to be in. The conclusion I’ve come to is that the topic almost doesn’t matter. Hines and King are intelligent, engaging interviewers/collaborators, and their guests are able to speak excitedly and accessibly about their obsessions. Everyone on this show is funny, but never to the detriment of the topic at hand. Further, the atmosphere always feels supportive. The guest is sometimes self-deprecating, but the hosts never pile on. Everyone explores the topic from a level of being interested enough to want to know more. It’s a fascinating, fun, and addictive experience.”
