“I used to love this show. Small bite-size chunks of tech news, relatable host and panelists, a well-produced local podcast.
That was until a recent episode that discussed the media bargaining code here in Australia. The panelists either didn’t understand the situation at all, or were deliberately swaying the commentary towards Facebook being the bad guys. The ban was as broad as it was because the code - written by Murdoch for the government - was so broad in its definition of “news”. The irony was that the very next topic dealt with misinformation and spreading information that was demonstrably false - though I’m sure that irony was lost on the host and panelists.
Ugh.”
