“I work as a designer in the animation field and find I work better when I listen to the radio or podcasts, so I was thrilled when Proko came out with this. It’s great and inspiring to be exposed to other perspectives about drawing and art in general. As a professional artist myself, I don’t agree with EVERY SINGLE THING that these guys say, but then again, they don’t agree with one another on every single thing. (I do agree with most of what they say). In my view, part of learning how to be an artist is learning how to filter what instructions (be they from books, classes, mentors, etc) give you good results and which ones aren’t so helpful. But exposure to those different ideas is what helps you develop your “filter” and I think (at least for me) this podcast has a lot to offer in that realm. It’s pretty much about whatever you can [audibly] learn about visual art without actually having a visual guide. And it’s fun!”
